The Futsal and Education Programme 2012
The Leeds United Foundation is offering a unique opportunity for talented 16-18 year old football players to pursue a 2 year Futsal & Education Scholarship.
To ensure that learners are fully prepared for the future, the scholarship includes a full-time education package, incorporating:
• BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, worth up to 3 A Levels
• Allows access to university and further study
• Opens the door to a coaching career in football or Futsal.
• Opens the door to a career Futsal coaching and refereeing
The Leeds United Futsal and Education Programme will provide Scholars with the opportunity to learn, train and play in a professional environment. Represent Leeds United at Futsal and achieve a first class education to enhance career opportunities
Futsal is the only form of indoor football approved by FIFA, UEFA and the FA. With over 2 million players regularly participating in fast-paced 5-a-side action that rewards good technique and game intelligence, Futsal is globally recognised as one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the world.
As a key element of the FA’s strategy to develop the game and produce players capable of representing England and after a very successful introduction in 2010, The Leeds United Foundation in conjunction with Wetherby High School are now offering this exciting and innovative programme to 16-18 year olds.
