Supporting Literacy and numeracy with school pupils from years 7, 8, 9 and 10, through activities in and around our Elland Road Stadium. The programmes vary from 6 to 12 weeks and engage a range of learners.
Bespoke programmes are presented to school who select groups who will benefit from the experience. Not all of the programmes carry accredited outcomes though this again can be arranged in collaboration with the school.

The Elland Road Experience
During the academic year 2010/2011, programmes formerly run by the Education Leeds Study Support Team were taken under the wing of the Leeds United Foundation. Programmes included Learning Through Football and Playing for Success, and many of these are linked to primary school education.
The Leeds United Foundation has been able to respond to the needs of primary schools across the city and provide an effective alternative to this service through a programme called The Elland Road Experience. The programme provides focus days in Health, Literacy, Numeracy, History or Geography using the learning zone and the stadium facilities as the resource. Leeds United Foundation staff have developed interesting interactive learning tools to engage and entertain children through a process of guided discovery learning. The days can include stadium tours and in future plans are in place to include tours of the soon to be opened Leeds United Museum.
